We have all walked out of the movie theater after an amazing movie that made you believe that it was your life. Then we realize that it's not, and suddenly feel depressed about our own lives. Well I just walked out of the One Direction Concert in Auckland last night after the best night of my life but I had never felt this depressed. Sitting in front of my laptop screen now and going through all the photos and videos of the night that was already history makes my heart skip a beat and then sinks way down deep. I would like to write this post to help me and millions of people out there to face reality and enjoy their experiences.

1. Realize that they are all entertainers and without you and the fans they would be nothing. So feel proud of the power we have
2. They are cute, and hot. But they all have make up artists and hair designers too. There are hot people all over the place in real life that are waiting to be discovered!!
3. Celebrities all have two sides. The public side determined by the producers in order to stimulate the target market. They also have a private side that not a lot of us can get on. If you're on the private side then you shouldn't even be reading this post.
4. Except being hot and showing up at the concerts, they haven't done anything for us except make us spend a massive proportion of our income buy shirts, tickets, posters ect. Now look at our parents, friends and family that have give us so much on a daily bases. Do we scream when we see them on the side of the road waiting to pick us up? Is it fair to them?
5. We should continue to listen to their music and watch the movies but it's NOT real. None of it is. They try to reflect our lives in their lyrics and dialogues. So instead of dreaming about them, lets use what they provide us as an insight into our own lives. To help motivate us to achieve our dreams, to inspire people we love, and to love the people in our lives that we really care about!
You would have noticed I use One Direction (quite a lot) in this post but it's just an example, and one that I can relate to. We are all different but the story applies to many situations. I will always love One Direction, but we should not go beyond the point of obsession. I have wasted a lot of time thinking about if only...or what if...when i have an amazing life and a specular future ahead that I can share with my friends and family. Let's not forget what is really important. I hope I won't forget.
